Trilogy Care is honoured to support the ANZGOG Venus Lunch on 28 November 2024, hosted by WomenCan, alongside our ambassador, Paula Duncan. As part of our commitment to advancing healthcare, Trilogy Care has made a significant contribution to this essential cause. By supporting this event, we aim to help raise awareness and contribute to groundbreaking research for women impacted by gynaecological cancers.
What is ANZGOG?
The Australia New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG) is the leading organisation dedicated to gynaecological cancer research in Australia and New Zealand. Since its founding in 2000, ANZGOG has been instrumental in driving life-saving research through its network of over 1,300 members, including clinicians, allied health professionals, and researchers. Operating in over 80 hospitals worldwide, ANZGOG is a registered charity focused on improving outcomes for women diagnosed with gynaecological cancers.
Dr Alison Davis, a Medical Oncologist, ANZGOG researcher, and Chair of the Research Advisory Committee, explains, “The more research we do, the more impact we’ll have on individuals now and into the future. And it’s only by having steady, reliable, consistent funding that we can move forward to expand our research program and find the next new breakthrough.”
About the event
The Venus Lunch, part of WomenCan’s event lineup, is focused on raising funds for ANZGOG’s pioneering research and clinical trials. The event will feature medical professionals discussing advancements in treating gynaecological cancers, as well as Australian media personalities sharing their personal experiences with these conditions.
Paula Duncan described the importance of the event, stating, “The Venus Lunch is an opportunity to give thanks to all the specialists, doctors, nurses, family members, and researchers who work tirelessly to help save the lives of so many women with gynaecological cancer, and to remember those we have lost.”
How is Trilogy Care involved?
Earlier this year, Trilogy Care was proud to announce Paula Duncan as our ambassador, strengthening our commitment to supporting women’s healthcare. This partnership has opened up valuable opportunities to collaborate on shared initiatives, such as the Venus Lunch. As a sponsor, Trilogy Care has made a major donation and will have senior management representatives at the event, underscoring our dedication to raising awareness and funding for this significant cause.
