People who made the switch

Here's what people told us after they moved to Trilogy Care.

The shift to Trilogy Care for my mother has been made so simple. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them. I will be forever grateful.

- Kate

Switched to self-managing through Trilogy Care. Highly recommend the team. Gives us more of our package to use on essential items.

- Jenny

So pleased I changed to Trilogy Care. The extra funds are great, but the greatest thing is the boost to my self-esteem.

- Janet

Trilogy Care has been a great platform for my mum. Great communication, very responsive and proactive. I highly recommend them.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose my funding if I switch?

No. Your funding follows you - it's yours, not your provider's, and it moves to your new provider. Your unspent funding comes with you too, and rollover rules still apply.

What are my rights when switching providers?

No exit fees - that's the law. Your provider keeps delivering your services until your exit date, and passes your remaining budget to your new provider within 28 days, with your records on request. You and your current provider agree the exit date, and a notice period only applies if your agreement says so. Trilogy Care has no notice period. If your provider stalls, adds fees or cuts services, call the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission on 1800 951 822. For a full breakdown of your rights when switching, download the free switching guide.

How long does switching take?

Not months. If you enquire before 2pm AEST on a business day with your referral code, you can sign with us the same day. Signing isn't the start of services: you and your current provider agree an exit date, and your services with us start on or after it. We work with you and your current provider to keep any gap as small as possible.

Can I keep my carers?

Often they can come too. If you're on our self-managed option and found your workers yourself, usually yes, as long as they meet compliance requirements (current insurance, a police check and the right qualifications). If your provider employs them, usually not - ask your carer before you give notice. Your cleaner, gardener, physio and others can keep coming on the same basis if they can invoice.

I'm helping mum or dad switch. What do I need?

Be listed as their authorised representative with My Aged Care - call 1800 200 422 together - or have them on the call to say it's OK. Power of attorney helps, but isn't required if they can give consent themselves.
