What can I learn at a Trilogy Care information session?
12 Dec 2025

If you’ve ever tried to make sense of aged care at home, you’ll know it can feel confusing fast – different programs, changing rules, and lots of new terminology.
Trilogy Care’s free information sessions are designed to cut through that confusion. We focus on one simple goal: helping older Australians and their families understand how government funding options can support happiness, safety and independence at home.
Here’s what you can expect to learn when we visit your community.
1. How government funding can support you at home
We start with the basics.
At a Trilogy Care information session, you’ll learn:
What types of government funding are available to help you stay at home for longer
How the new Support at Home program is designed to work
The kinds of services funding can be used for – from help around the house to clinical support
What “budgets”, “levels” and “categories” actually mean in day-to-day life
The focus is always practical: How can this funding help me live the way I want to live?
2. How to make the most of your care budget
Many people don’t realise they’re not using all the support that’s available to them.
Our team explains:
How to calculate how much funding you might receive
Simple ways to turn more of your funding into real support at home
What you can and cannot claim under Support at Home
You’ll walk away with ideas you can use straight away – whether you’re just starting to explore your options or already receiving support.
3. The difference between fully managed and self-managed care
One of the most common questions we hear is:
“What’s the difference between fully managed and self-managed care – and which is right for me?”
At our sessions, we explain:
What changes when you move from a fully managed provider to self-management
How self-management can offer more flexibility and better value from the same funding
What stays the same – including your government funding and your choice of supports
The type of person or family situation that might suit each option
There’s plenty of time for questions, so you can explore what this might look like in your own circumstances.
4. Real examples, real questions, real answers
These sessions are not sales presentations. They’re relaxed, community-focused conversations.
You can expect:
Everyday examples that show how people like you use funding to stay active, social and independent
Guidance on how to talk with family members about getting extra help
A supportive environment where you can ask questions without any pressure
You’re welcome to attend with a partner, family member, neighbour or friend.
In 2026, your nomination matters
In 2026, Trilogy Care is planning a new round of free information sessions across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria.
We don’t want to guess where to go. We’d rather hear directly from the communities who need this information most.
By nominating your suburb, town or community group, you:
Help us understand where support and education are most needed
Make it easier for friends, neighbours and local groups to access clear, trustworthy information
Support older people in your area to feel more confident and in control of their care at home
Every nomination also helps us build our 2026 Roadshow map, so we can plan future visits along Australia’s east coast.
How to request a session in your area
Nominating your community is simple and only takes a few minutes.
On the short nomination form, you’ll be asked to share things like:
Your suburb or location
The type of event or group (for example: community meeting, club gathering or guest speaking presentation)
Why Trilogy Care should visit your suburb or community
Once you submit your nomination, you’ll receive a thank-you message so you know it’s been received.
Bring an information session to your community
If you’d like clearer guidance on government funding options - and you want people in your area to feel happier, safer and more independent at home - we’d love to hear from you.
Bring an information session to your community. Nominate your suburb and add your town to our 2026 Roadshow map.
