How Trilogy Care information sessions can help your community
10 Dec 2025

Across Australia’s east coast, older people and their families are trying to make sense of changing government programs, new rules, and unfamiliar terminology, often without much support.
Trilogy Care’s free information sessions are designed to change that.
In 2026, we are planning a new round of community sessions across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. This time, we are asking you to help decide where we visit next.
Here is how bringing a Trilogy Care information session to your area can make a real difference for your community.
1. Bringing clear, trustworthy information closer to home
For many people, understanding aged care at home starts with a Google search or a long wait on the phone. It can be frustrating, confusing and overwhelming.
When a Trilogy Care session comes to your local RSL, club or community centre, your neighbours do not have to navigate it alone.
At a local session, your community can:
Hear plain-English explanations of government funding options
Learn how the new Support at Home program is designed to work
Understand the kinds of services funding can support, from everyday help around the home to more complex care
Ask questions in a relaxed environment, without time pressure
It is about turning complex information into clear, practical guidance people can trust.
2. Supporting carers, families and neighbours
Every community has people quietly doing a lot of caring. Adult children, partners, friends and neighbours are often helping someone stay at home.
A local information session gives them:
A better understanding of what support is available
Language to use when talking about care with the person they support
Ideas for how to use funding so everyone feels more confident and less overwhelmed
A chance to hear from others in similar situations
By hosting a session in your area, you are making it easier for local carers and families to access the right information in one place, instead of trying to piece it together on their own.
3. Helping older people stay independent at home
Most older Australians want the same thing: to feel safe, supported and independent in the home and community they know.
Trilogy Care information sessions focus on how government funding can support:
Happiness: staying socially connected, getting to activities, and keeping up with the things that bring joy
Safety: support with daily tasks, equipment and services that reduce risk at home
Independence: having the right help at the right time, so people can keep doing as much as possible for themselves
We also explain the difference between fully managed and self-managed care, and how self-management can give people more flexibility and value from the same funding, if that is the right fit.
When your community understands these options, it is easier for older people to make decisions that match their goals and preferences.
4. Strengthening local clubs and community groups
Many nominations come from community organisations, such as:
Seniors groups
Men’s Sheds
Multicultural associations
Service clubs
Social and faith-based groups
Hosting an information session can help these groups:
Offer extra value to their members
Attract new people who may not usually come along
Start important conversations about planning for support at home
Connect members with a trusted source of information
You provide the venue and the people. We provide the practical guidance.
Why your nomination matters and how to request a session
In 2026, Trilogy Care is building a roadshow map for communities across QLD, NSW and VIC.
Your nomination helps us:
Identify suburbs and towns where information is most needed
Reach people who may not know where to start with aged care at home
Plan sessions in locations that are easy for older locals, carers and families to get to
Nominating your community is simple and only takes a few minutes.
On the short form, you will be asked about:
Event type, for example a community meeting, club gathering or guest speaking presentation
Suburb or location
Why Trilogy Care should visit your suburb or community
Once you submit your nomination, you will receive a thank you message letting you know your suggestion is helping shape the 2026 Roadshow map.
Bring an information session to your community
If you would like the older people, carers and families in your area to feel more informed, more confident and better supported at home, nominating your town is a simple place to start.
Bring an information session to your community. Nominate your suburb and add your town to our 2026 Roadshow map.
